During the renovation of its premises at the Bâtiment d’Art Contemporain (2025-2028), the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève is continuing its mission of introducing contemporary art to the wider public. The program Better than Gold offers a free immersion in contemporary art, in a unique setting, in collaboration with the Fondation Convergences. Hosted at the Maison de l’Enfance et de l’Adolescence (MEA) of HUG- 26 boulevard de la Cluse, 1205 Geneva – this new program combines creativity and transmission, proposing a variety of activities upon reservation (for schools, associations and groups).

On March 14 and 15, the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève and Fondation Convergences invite you for an inaugural weekend open to all. Programme of the inaugural weekend:

18h30 – 19h30 : A return to Biennale de l’Image en Mouvement – Screenings of the films BLKNWS by Kahlil Joseph and Parsi by Eduardo Williams with Mariano Blatt

19h30 – 20h30 : Conversation – “Éducation alternative et art contemporain” with Andrea Bellini, director of Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève, Asma Barchiche, Head of Education at the Centre, and Nayansaku Mufwankolo, lecturer in Cultural Studies and Critical Theory, and Delegate for Inclusivity at HEAD Geneve

20h30 – 21h30 : Performance-reading Autoritratto in 3 atti with artist Diana Anselmo
