Diamanti
The Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève is happy to present Diamanti, a short film by Miriam Gili at the Cinema Dynamo.
Diamanti is a non-fictional silent documentary telling the story of something which is not present anymore even though it still exists, or how death is transformed into an object of desire thanks to Algordanza, a Swiss company specialized in the creation of Memorial Diamonds – Diamonds created from the crystallization of human ashes.
This film is part of the artist’s ongoing research on anthropopoiesis and aims at investigating the concept of remembering and forgetting through video.
Miriam Gili was born in 1987 in Pavia, Italy. She is currently studying a MA in Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies at NABA, Milano.
