Chuquimamani-Condori
On the occasion of the opening, artist and musician Chuquimamani-Condori proposes a talk to present the exhibition Across the Policed World: A Transnocturnal Huayño.
The talk will discuss anthropological papers from the Museum of Natural History written by Harry Tschopik Jr. in 1951-52, as well as notes on a translated excerpt from the Aymara chronicler Joan de Santa Cruz Pachacuti Yamqui Salcamaygua’s “Relación” from the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries, and end with an oral history by Clyde Bellecourt of the American Indian Movement.
