Independent of any artistic movement and unique in the world since its creation in 1912, the Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval has inspired for more than a century. Built without any architectural rules, recognized as a work of art brut, the Palais Idéal was admired by surrealists and was classified in 1969 as a Historic Monument by André Malraux, Minister of French Culture.
