PolyShow : ça fait quoi l’art ?
Participatory workshop with artist Caroline Schattling Villeval
The program Better than Gold, offers a free immersion in contemporary art for children, teenagers and the general public, in a unique setting outside the walls of the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève and in collaboration with the Fondation Convergences. This innovative program, housed at the Maison de l’Enfance et de l’Adolescence (MEA) des HUG, combines creativity and transmission.
This workshop will take place during the program’s inaugural weekend, March 14 and 15, 2025, at the Maison de l’Enfance et de l’Adolescence (MEA). The event will feature a series of meetings, screenings and artistic workshops, including a participatory workshop entitled “PolyShow: ça fait quoi l’art?” with artist Caroline Schattling Villeval.
Caroline Schattling Villeval invites you to create exhibition models that will enable you to reflect collectively on the development of an artistic project. Materials are available for all ages, and everyone is welcome! We can then decide whether to create a group exhibition, or several solo shows, which will then be presented to an audience, real or imagined. We’ll need curators, editors, artists, writers and photographers!
Caroline Schattling Villeval (*1995, Zurich) lives and works in Geneva. Using text, sculpture, video and sound, she develops a dreamlike universe animated by plants and animals. Characters in search of a form of personal emancipation and a position vis-à-vis a society whose conditions of integration would be defined by notions specific to the theories of personal development. The relationships between the characters are erased, virtualized, so that the communities represented are in fact isolated and held solely responsible for their well-being
The workshop will be held in French.
From 3 years old, with an adult.
