The Cinema Dynamo is happy to present a program of five short films by Palestinian-American artist/filmmaker Basma Alsharif.

“In Alsharif’s films, History and Space are represented through their multi-layered, multi-linear, dimension. Images are given to see through others images, frames collapse into other frames, the space is familiar and anonymous, urban civilization and wild life dissolve into each other and past, present and future compose one timeline. Born in 1983, Kuwait (Palestinian origin). Alsharif developed her practice nomadically between Chicago, Cairo, Beirut, Amman, Gaza, and now lives and works between Los Angeles and Paris. She Received an MFA from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2007.
