Io sono Salvo
Book launch & conversation with Caroline Bachmann, Sara De Chiara & Fabrice Stroun
On the occasion of the publication of the monograph on Italian artist Salvo, the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève and the Archivo Salvo association are delighted to invite Swiss artist Caroline Bachmann, art historian Sara De Chiara and critic and art historian Fabrice Stroun for a conversation on the work of this emblematic figure of contemporary painting.
Published by NERO Editions, Io sono Salvo is a monograph conceived as a self-portrait: a story of the artist’s practice through his works and words. A wide selection of writings, including the treatise On Painting, unpublished texts by Bob Nickas et Elena Volpato and various interviews given over the years, anticipate a vast section dedicated to his artistic production, presented in chronological sequence.
The monograph has been produced with the support of the Italian Council (10th edition, 2021), a program for the international promotion of Italian art run by the Ministry of Culture’s General Directorate for Contemporary Creation.
