Mondes Parlés – Rebecca Gisler

Spoken Worlds

Rebecca Gisler

D’oncle

The Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève is pleased to continue the Mondes Parlés program, in collaboration with Fabienne Radi and Emmanuelle Pireyre, both authors and teachers in charge of the two writing workshops run at the HEAD – Geneva.

The Spoken Worlds series of events invite you to immerse yourself in the plural practices of reading. These evenings hope to develop, thanks to a community of voices, invigorating paths of reflection.

Rebecca Gisler, one of the winners of the Swiss Literature Prize 2022, is the first guest author this fall. Born in Zurich in 1991, Rebecca Gisler is a graduate of the Swiss Literary Institute and of the Master of Creative Writing at the University of Paris-8. She writes in French and German and is also a translator. Her first novel D’oncle was published in August 2021 by Verdier and won one of the Swiss Literature Prizes 2022. Vom Onkel, the self-translated German version of D’oncle, was published in March 2022 by Atlantis Literatur.
