The Cinema Dynamo is happy to present, in collaboration with the festival Everybody’s Perfect, a series of short films by the French photographer and filmmaker Emilie Jouvet. Exploring through intimate portraits and other subversive mise-en-scènes since 15 years the queer, feminists and post-porn movements, her films and videos question and disrupt the social norms affecting the norms and representations of desire, while affirming an aesthetic merging sexuality and politics. She has directed One Night Stand,the first queer and transgender French feature film. In 2009 she created a troupe of performers for a unique European tour, to shoot his second feature film Too Much Pussy! Feminist Sluts in the Queer X Show, a documentary road movie about the feminist sexpositive movement, released in 2011.

At the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève, she will present a series of short films she has directed between 2003 and 2015. For the screening event, Emilie Jouvet will also present and sign The Book, her first monograph presenting a selection of photographic works questioning the political field of sensitivity, the expression of intimacy, desire.

Emilie Jouvet (1976) graduated from the Beaux Arts and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie. She lives and works between Paris and Berlin.
